An old man and his grandson

The old man is my father-in-law.
The baby is my nephew.

An elder brother of that baby died in 1997 in a village of his grandfather.
One day, people called me and said,
“Baby stopped his breathing.”
I rushed to baby, hasten to the local dispensary doing artificial respiration.
But it did not work.
Doctor explained a risk of infection of mouth-to-mouth method.
I knew about it.
But I did it.
I will never forget the weight of baby who was dying in my arms.

One and half year later, we went to that village to see my father-in-law with parents of that baby and his new little brother.
The old man took his grandson up in his arms.
It was very impressed.
Two years later, my father-in-law passed away.

When I prepared this set of photos, my wife said,
“They are together now, aren’t they ?”
